Le Régent is a the first volume of « Les Joyaux de la Couronne » collection. It explores the origins of the Maison Oriza L. Legrand, back in the 18th century when it was called “Parfumerie Oriza de Fargeon-Aîné” at the court of King Louis XV – the Perfumed Court.
Parfumerie Oriza had a shop inside the Cour Carrée in the Louvre, which was still the French royal palace along Versailles.
The Regent is a 140.5 carat diamond of the first water considered to be one of the most beautiful diamonds in the world and still on display in the Galerie d'Apollon in the Louvre in Paris.
