Contemporary Custodians

The House of Oriza L. Legrand is today led by Hugo Lambert and Franck Belaiche Bonniot, who ensure its continuity.

Their intervention is part of a proactive conservation approach:
it is not about modifying the works, but about guaranteeing their faithful transmission, in compliance with the compositions as they were established.

The perfumes are thus considered heritage objects, whose reproduction requires both historical rigor and precision of execution.

Manufacturing Location

Château du Rouvray
Centre-Val de Loire Region
At the foot of the Royal City of Loches

It is on this site, set in a landscape marked by centuries of history, that the House has established its manufacturing activity.

The choice of this location stems from a consistency: that of rooting production in an environment where architecture, memory, and decorative arts participate in the same cultural continuum.

Processes & Know-how

All operations (composition, maturation, bottling, conditioning) are carried out in France.

The House favors methods consistent with the historical practices of perfumery, involving particular attention to olfactive balances, materials, and gestures.

This practice stems from demanding craftsmanship, where the hand retains a decisive role at every stage.

Principle of Conservation

The House's guiding principle rests on three foundations:

  • Preserve compositions without alteration
  • Restore the works to their integrity
  • Transmit a heritage without subjecting it to the effects of fashion

Thus, time here is not a matter of transformation, but of continuity.

Manufacturing Ethics

The House of Oriza L. Legrand is committed to a measured practice, mindful of time, materials, and living things.

Faithful to a handcrafted approach, it favors controlled production rhythms, counter to any logic of acceleration or standardization.

None of its compositions are subject to animal testing, in line with a requirement that is less a declaration than a principle.

Materials are chosen with discernment, respecting their nature and origin, then implemented according to gestures that preserve their integrity.

This is how a form of balance is maintained:

that of a perfumery that advances with measure, conscious of what it inherits as much as what it commits to.

House Manuscript

It is in the enchanting setting of the Château de Rouvray, at the foot of the Royal City of Loches, that the House of Oriza L. Legrand has established its multi-secular perfume organs.

It is here that we exhume archives and rare vials; that we gather missing pieces and faded parchments; that we draw the outlines of the works soon to be re-edited; that we finally give them life after sometimes more than a century of sleep.

It is here that, as a family, we elaborate our designs to charm you and transport you across the centuries, in our singular time machine.

It is also here that we bring together French talents and their ancestral know-how, affirming that perfumery has not yet made its final bow.

And finally, it is in this romantic setting, tested by centuries, that we fill our bottles with our precious nectars; that we affix our labels; that we pack, one by one and by hand, our incomparable soaps; and that our scents accompany your cases, adorned with tissue paper and shimmering ribbons.

Welcome to Oriza L. Legrand
