2. SCOPE OF THESE TERMS
These Terms govern purchases made through our website by individuals acting for purposes outside their trade, business or profession, referred to as “you” or “the customer”.
Business purchases and purchases intended for commercial resale are subject to separate arrangements. Please contact contact@orizaparfums.com for such enquiries.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into the contract or the necessary authorisation from your legal representative.
These Terms are available before you place your order and may be saved or printed. You must accept them before completing your purchase.
The version accepted when you place your order applies to that order. Subsequent changes do not affect contracts already concluded.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts any mandatory consumer rights available to you under applicable law. Where applicable law provides greater protection, that protection remains available.
3. OUR PRODUCTS
Each product page sets out the product’s essential characteristics, including its description, size or quantity and price, together with ingredients, instructions, precautions and storage information where relevant.
Please review this information before ordering and contact us if you require further details.
Product photographs illustrate the items offered for sale. Screen settings may cause minor differences in colour reproduction, but this does not affect our obligation to supply products that conform to their description.
Fragrance descriptions convey the character and inspiration of our creations. Individual perceptions of scent may vary. This does not limit your statutory rights.
Products must be used for their intended purpose and in accordance with their labelling and any instructions provided.
4. PRICES, CURRENCY AND TAXES
Prices are expressed in euros. Applicable sales taxes, delivery charges and the total amount payable to us are shown before you complete your order.
Prices and tax treatment may vary according to the delivery destination. The final price is displayed once that destination has been entered.
The prices accepted when you place your order apply to your purchase. We may change prices for future orders.
Delivery charges do not necessarily include customs duties, import taxes or customs clearance charges payable at the destination. These are addressed in Section 9.
Promotional discounts apply in accordance with the conditions disclosed before purchase.
Your bank or payment provider may apply its own currency conversion rate or charges where your account is held in another currency. Such charges are separate from the amounts charged by us.
5. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
Products are offered subject to availability. Any pre-order or delayed availability arrangement will be expressly identified, together with the applicable delivery date or period.
If a product becomes unavailable after you place your order, we will notify you without undue delay.
You may agree to an alternative product or delivery date, or cancel the unavailable items and receive a refund. We will not substitute a product without your agreement.
If the entire order is cancelled because of unavailability, all amounts collected will be refunded without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after cancellation.
If only part of an order is cancelled, we will not add delivery charges resulting from the reduced order value without your agreement.
6. PLACING AN ORDER
To place an order, select your products, enter your details, choose a delivery method and review the order summary.
Before paying, you may correct errors relating to products, quantities, addresses or delivery arrangements.
You complete your order by accepting these Terms and selecting a button clearly indicating that the order carries an obligation to pay.
Subject to payment authorisation, the contract is formed when you complete this final step. We will email you an order confirmation, including the purchase summary and a copy of these Terms in a format that you can retain.
Please check your details and notify us promptly of any error.
We may refuse an order for a legitimate reason, including established fraud, payment refusal or an order incompatible with sales to consumers. We will notify you and refund any amounts collected for a refused order.
Any quantity or order-value limits will be disclosed before you complete your purchase.
7. PAYMENT
Payment is made in euros using the payment methods offered on the website at checkout.
Accepted payment methods and the timing of any debit are disclosed before payment. If deferred payment or instalments are offered, separate information and conditions will apply.
Transactions are processed through our payment service providers. Additional authentication or checks may be required to secure the transaction.
An order for which payment has been refused cannot be fulfilled until payment has been successfully arranged.
An invoice or purchase receipt will be provided electronically.
8. DISCOVERY SETS AND PROMOTIONAL OFFERS
Where a discovery set includes a voucher towards a subsequent purchase, the offer conditions are disclosed before the discovery set is purchased.
These conditions specify the voucher value, validity period, eligible products, any minimum purchase requirement and whether the voucher may be combined with other offers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the voucher is a discount towards a subsequent purchase, rather than a cash refund of the discovery set.
Free-delivery thresholds and the international minimum order value are calculated after deduction of any voucher used.
Promotional conditions do not restrict your cancellation rights or statutory guarantees.
9. DELIVERY
9.1. Delivery destinations
We deliver to the destinations available on our website.
Available delivery methods depend on the address, products ordered, parcel characteristics and services available through our carriers.
The complete list of countries and territories, together with their delivery-zone classification, is provided on our Delivery page before you place your order.
Our “Europe” delivery zone is a commercial shipping zone and is not necessarily identical to the European Union. Any delivery restrictions are disclosed before payment.
9.2. Delivery charges and free-delivery thresholds
For deliveries within metropolitan France, shipping via Mondial Relay costs €5, with free delivery on orders of €50 or more. For Colissimo home delivery, shipping costs €8, with free delivery on orders of €200 or more.
For deliveries within Paris city limits, a courier service is available for €8, with free delivery on orders of €50 or more.
For deliveries within Europe via Mondial Relay, shipping costs €8, with free delivery on orders of €100 or more. This service is available for Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Germany and Austria, subject to the services enabled under our carrier agreement and their availability for the delivery address. Deliveries within metropolitan France are subject to the metropolitan France rates.
For Colissimo home deliveries within Europe, shipping costs €13, with free delivery on orders of €150 or more. This service covers the European destinations listed on our Delivery page, including Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Colissimo is also offered within this zone when Mondial Relay is unavailable, provided the shipment is eligible for carriage.
For international deliveries, including French overseas destinations, shipping costs €60, with free delivery on orders of €500 or more. Shipments are handled by DHL or, for parcels containing no alcohol-based products, by Colissimo, at our discretion. These rates apply to supported destinations outside our Europe delivery zone, as well as French overseas departments, regions and collectivities, including Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy. Metropolitan France rates do not apply to these territories.
Islands, enclaves and associated territories are classified according to their actual location and the delivery-zone list published on our website, rather than automatically according to the country with which they are associated.
Delivery charges include any applicable taxes on the transport service invoiced by us. Any import charges are addressed in Section 9.7.
9.3. Threshold calculations and minimum order value
Thresholds are calculated using the amount charged for the products for the selected destination, after discounts and discovery vouchers, excluding delivery charges.
Free delivery applies once the relevant threshold is reached.
There is no minimum order value for metropolitan France or our Europe delivery zone.
For the international zone, including French overseas destinations, the minimum order value is €150:
- Below €150: the order cannot be completed for that destination.
- From €150 to less than €500: delivery costs €60.
- €500 or more: delivery is free.
The amount remaining to reach the minimum order value or free-delivery threshold is shown during checkout.
9.4. Default delivery method
Mondial Relay is automatically preselected where available. You may choose another available method before payment, including where more than one method is free.
Home delivery and Paris courier delivery require you to select that option. Your selection is retained while it remains compatible with your address and basket.
Where Mondial Relay is unavailable for a supported European address, Colissimo is offered as the default, provided the shipment is eligible.
Changes to your address or basket may change the available options. Any revised charges are displayed before you confirm your order.
9.5. Collection points, lockers and home delivery
For Mondial Relay, you must select a collection point or locker before completing your order.
You will receive collection instructions and the deadline for collecting your parcel when it becomes available.
If your selected collection point becomes unavailable, you will be informed of the alternative arrangement. Please contact us if that arrangement is unsuitable.
Colissimo home deliveries are sent to the address you provide. If you are unavailable, the carrier will notify you of the available redelivery or collection arrangements.
9.6. Courier delivery within Paris
Courier delivery is available only to eligible addresses within the city limits of Paris, excluding surrounding suburbs.
The service operates Monday to Friday. Any service closures, including public-holiday closures, are reflected in the date offered before payment.
The charge is €8 for orders below €50, with free courier delivery on orders of €50 or more.
- Orders completed and paid before 12 noon, Paris time, Monday to Friday: same-day delivery, subject to courier availability and stock being available in our boutique.
- Orders completed at or after 12 noon: dispatch on the next day on which the courier service operates.
- Orders completed on Friday at or after 12 noon, or over the weekend: dispatch on the following Monday, or the next operating day if the service is unavailable that Monday.
Delivery takes place within a two- to three-hour delivery window, disclosed before payment. This is the length of the delivery window, not a promise to deliver within two or three hours of placing the order.
If the requested delivery arrangement is unavailable, another date or delivery method will be offered before checkout is completed.
Courier delivery is not preselected. Mondial Relay remains the default where available, even when courier delivery is free.
9.7. International deliveries, French overseas destinations and import charges
DHL is our principal carrier for the international zone.
We may use Colissimo where the parcel contains no alcohol-based products and the destination permits it. This requirement applies to the entire parcel, including complimentary samples.
The choice of carrier is made by us. It does not change the delivery charge and must respect the agreed delivery arrangements and delivery date or period.
Unless we expressly state before payment that we will cover them, customs duties, import taxes and customs clearance charges payable at the destination are your responsibility.
Where such charges can reasonably be calculated in advance, their amount will be disclosed. Otherwise, the possibility of additional charges payable separately will be explained before you place your order.
Such charges may also apply to destinations within our Europe delivery zone, including Switzerland and the United Kingdom, and to French overseas destinations.
Free delivery does not mean that import duties, taxes or clearance charges are included or waived.
9.8. Delivery times and tracking
The delivery date or period is disclosed before payment and included in the order confirmation. It takes account of both preparation and transit.
A dispatch date is not, by itself, a delivery date.
If no delivery date or period has been agreed, delivery will take place without undue delay and no later than thirty days after the contract is concluded.
Tracking information will be provided after dispatch where available.
If a difficulty affects the agreed delivery period, we will notify you and seek a solution without limiting your statutory rights.
If we choose to dispatch an order in separate parcels, no additional delivery charge will be imposed without your prior agreement.
9.9. Incorrect addresses, missed deliveries and uncollected parcels
You must provide a complete address and contact details enabling delivery. Please notify us promptly of any error. Address changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has been dispatched.
If a parcel is returned to us, we will contact you to agree the next steps.
Any justified charge for resending the parcel must be explained and agreed in advance. No fixed penalty is deducted automatically.
Failure to collect a parcel does not, by itself, constitute notice that you wish to cancel the purchase.
9.10. Receipt, loss and damage
Please report any missing parcel, missing item, incorrect product or damage to contact@orizaparfums.com, quoting your order number.
Photographs may help us investigate. The absence of photographs or of a reservation recorded with the carrier does not remove your statutory rights.
For carriers offered or selected by us, the risk of loss or damage passes when you, or a person designated by you other than the carrier, take physical possession of the products.
We remain your point of contact and will not require you to resolve a delivery dispute with the carrier on your own.
9.11. Late or failed delivery
If the agreed delivery period is exceeded, you may require us in writing to deliver within a reasonable additional period. If delivery does not take place within that period, you may terminate the contract in accordance with applicable law.
You may terminate immediately where the law permits, including where we refuse to deliver or where the agreed delivery date was an essential condition of the contract.
Following termination on these grounds, all amounts paid will be refunded within fourteen days, without prejudice to any other rights you may have.
10. ORDER CHANGES AND CANCELLATION BEFORE DISPATCH
You may contact us to request an order change or cancellation before dispatch. Whether we can implement the request depends on the stage of preparation.
If we cannot physically stop a shipment, this does not affect your right to withdraw from the purchase or any other statutory remedy.
No internal cancellation deadline restricts those rights.
11. RIGHT TO CANCEL YOUR PURCHASE — WITHDRAWAL
11.1. Cancellation period
Under these Terms, you have fourteen days to withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason. Any longer or more favourable mandatory period available under applicable law remains unaffected.
The period begins when you, or a person designated by you other than the carrier, receive the product. Where products ordered together are delivered separately, it begins when the last product is received.
The day of receipt is not counted. If the final day falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public or non-working holiday, the period is extended to the next working day in accordance with the applicable French rules.
11.2. How to exercise this right
You may notify us:
- Through the online withdrawal function available at [insert location and link].
- By email to contact@orizaparfums.com.
- By post to the address in Section 1.
You may use the form at the end of these Terms or any other clear statement identifying the order and your decision to withdraw.
Sending your notice before the period expires is sufficient. Use of the model form is optional.
The online function allows you to identify the order, confirm your request and receive an acknowledgement in a format you can retain, recording the request and its date and time.
11.3. Returning products
You must return the products without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after notifying us of your withdrawal, to:
[Insert the complete returns address before publication.]
You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the products, unless we state otherwise or agree to cover it.
Please use suitable protective packaging. We recommend retaining proof of dispatch.
For alcohol-based products, please contact us for guidance on an acceptable return shipping method. This does not make the exercise of your withdrawal right conditional on our prior approval.
You are liable only for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product, subject to applicable law.
The absence of the original packaging is not, by itself, an automatic reason to reject a return.
11.4. Refunds
If you withdraw from the entire order, we will refund the amounts paid, including the standard outbound delivery charge originally paid.
We do not have to refund the additional cost arising from your express choice of a more expensive delivery method than the standard delivery offered.
The refund will be made no later than fourteen days after we receive your notice. We may withhold it until we have received the products or evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first.
We will use the original payment method unless you expressly agree to another method that does not incur any fee.
For a partial return, the relevant products are refunded at the price actually paid. We will not retrospectively charge delivery that was originally free solely because products have been returned.
11.5. Exceptions
The withdrawal right does not apply to products made to your specifications or clearly personalised, where the applicable legal exception is satisfied.
It may also be excluded for sealed products that have been unsealed after delivery and cannot be returned for genuine health-protection or hygiene reasons, provided the legal conditions are met and you were informed before purchase.
A product is not automatically excluded merely because it is a fragrance or cosmetic.
These exceptions do not affect rights relating to faulty or non-conforming products.
12. STATUTORY GUARANTEES AND PRODUCT RIGHTS
Oriza L. Legrand is responsible for the statutory guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects provided by French law.
Requests should be addressed to:
ORIZA L. LEGRAND PARFUMS

The following is an English translation of the French statutory information notice. Any additional mandatory rights available under the law applicable to your purchase remain unaffected.
Statutory guarantee notice — English translation of Model A in the Annex to Article D. 211-2 of the French Consumer Code
The consumer has two years from delivery of the goods to invoke the statutory guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity becomes apparent. During this period, the consumer is required to establish only the existence of the lack of conformity, not the date on which it arose.
Where the sales contract provides for the continuous supply of digital content or a digital service for more than two years, the statutory guarantee applies to that digital content or service throughout the agreed supply period. During this period, the consumer is required to establish only the existence of the lack of conformity affecting the digital content or service, not the date on which it arose.
Where applicable, the statutory guarantee of conformity requires the trader to provide all updates necessary to maintain the conformity of the goods.
The statutory guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to repair or replacement within thirty days of the request, free of charge and without significant inconvenience.
If the goods are repaired under the statutory guarantee of conformity, the original guarantee is extended by six months.
If the consumer requests repair but the seller instead requires replacement, the statutory guarantee of conformity is renewed for two years from the date of replacement.
The consumer may obtain a price reduction while keeping the goods, or terminate the contract and receive a full refund upon returning them, if:
- The trader refuses to repair or replace the goods;
- Repair or replacement takes more than thirty days;
- Repair or replacement causes significant inconvenience, particularly where the consumer ultimately bears the cost of taking back or removing the non-conforming goods, or the cost of installing the repaired or replacement goods;
- The lack of conformity persists despite the seller’s unsuccessful attempt to bring the goods into conformity.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or termination where the lack of conformity is sufficiently serious to justify an immediate reduction or termination. In that case, the consumer does not have to request repair or replacement first.
The consumer is not entitled to terminate the sale where the lack of conformity is minor.
Any period during which the goods are unavailable for repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee period until the restored goods are delivered.
These rights arise under Articles L. 217-1 to L. 217-32 of the French Consumer Code.
A seller who obstructs the implementation of the statutory guarantee of conformity in bad faith may incur a civil fine of up to €300,000, which may be increased to 10% of average annual turnover under Article L. 241-5 of the French Consumer Code.
The consumer also benefits from the statutory guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, with a period of two years from discovery of the defect in which to bring a claim. This guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the goods are retained, or a full refund upon their return.
No commercial returns procedure, internal complaint deadline or packaging requirement restricts these statutory guarantees.
13. INCORRECT, FAULTY OR DAMAGED PRODUCTS
If an item is incorrect, missing, faulty or damaged, please contact us with your order number and a description of the issue.
We will arrange the appropriate remedy. You will not be required to bear the necessary return costs for a product that is non-conforming or damaged on delivery.
These claims are handled separately from returns made because you have changed your mind.
Any discretionary exchange offered beyond our legal obligations is subject to the terms expressly agreed with you.
14. OWNERSHIP AND LIABILITY
Ownership of the products remains with us until payment has been received in full. This does not alter the rules on transfer of risk set out in Section 9.
We are responsible for performing our obligations in accordance with applicable law.
Any exemption from liability applies only where permitted by law. A carrier delay, supply difficulty or customs event does not automatically constitute force majeure.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or restricts your mandatory consumer rights.
15. PERSONAL DATA
ORIZA L. LEGRAND PARFUMS processes personal data necessary to manage orders, payments, deliveries, customer service and legal obligations.
Relevant data may be shared with service providers involved in those activities, to the extent necessary for them to carry out their respective tasks.
Marketing communications are carried out in accordance with applicable rules. You may object to such communications or withdraw your consent where consent is the legal basis for processing.
Full information about the purposes of processing, legal bases, recipients, retention periods, any international transfers and your rights is provided in the Privacy Policy available on our website.
You may exercise your rights by contacting contact@orizaparfums.com and may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).
Acceptance of these Terms does not constitute blanket consent to marketing communications or non-essential cookies.
16. EVIDENCE AND RECORD KEEPING
Electronic communications, confirmations and transaction records may be used as evidence in accordance with applicable law, without preventing you from providing evidence to the contrary.
We retain contractual documents in accordance with applicable legal requirements and provide access to them under the conditions prescribed by law.
We recommend that you keep your order confirmation, invoice and the version of these Terms accepted when placing your order.
17. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The trademarks, texts, photographs, illustrations and other elements of our website are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Any reproduction or use beyond what is legally permitted requires the prior consent of the relevant rights holder.
Purchasing a product does not transfer any intellectual property rights relating to our trademarks or website.

18. COMPLAINTS AND CONSUMER MEDIATION
You may submit a complaint by email to contact@orizaparfums.com or by post to our registered office, quoting your order number and describing the issue.
If you have first submitted a written complaint and have not received a satisfactory resolution, you may refer the matter, free of charge, to the consumer mediator appointed by us:
[Name of the consumer mediator formally appointed under an agreement or membership.]
[Postal address.]
[Website address and instructions for submitting a mediation request.]
Your request must meet the applicable legal admissibility requirements, including submission within one year of your written complaint to us.
Mediation is voluntary and does not affect your right to bring proceedings before a competent court.
19. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by French law.
This choice of law does not deprive customers residing in another country of any mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable to them.
In the event of a dispute, the competent courts will be determined in accordance with applicable national and international rules. Consumers are not required to bring proceedings exclusively before the courts having jurisdiction over our registered office.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
