The Rêve d’Ossian Scented Paper images
Scottish mists, campfire smoke on the Celtic moors, the bard Ossian’s song under the moon. Sixty strips steeped in incense, pine and balsamic resins — a journey through time with every flame.
Rêve d’Ossian is the most mystical fragrance of the Maison Oriza L. Legrand — a warm, resinous orthodox incense composition inspired by the Poems of Ossian, that literary work which set all of Romantic Europe ablaze at the turn of the 19th century.
This booklet of burning paper, in the colours of the Dreams of Ossian, transposes this legend into an intimate olfactory ritual. Each strip burned releases a warm, balsamic incense — maritime pine, cinnamon, benzoin, myrrh and olibanum — that envelops the room in a mystical, soothing atmosphere, like the smoke of a campfire on a windswept Scottish moor. One senses the mists, the peat bogs, the ancient forests where the spirits of Celtic heroes still keep watch.
Perfect for bewitching guests at a soirée, for accompanying a moment of reading or meditation, or simply for purifying the home with a perfumed breath laden with history.
