Royal Œillet images
The carnation — flower of the king, flower of the people. At Versailles it adorned buttonholes; during the Revolution, it reddened the barricades.
Under the monarchy, the white carnation symbolised pure love. During the Revolution, the red carnation became a rallying sign. Royal Œillet reconciles these two lives. The opening is powdery — old rose, black pepper. Then comes the clove, lending the carnation its recognisable piquant carnality. The base of violet leaves and silky sandalwood softens the whole. A soap with character, presence and staying power.
