Chypre Mousse is unanimously considered the masterpiece of Oriza L. Legrand. Its 1914 formula predates by three years the codification of the chypre genre in 1917 and pushes the concept in a radical direction: fresh mushroom (Boletus edulis), humus tincture and roasted chestnut in the base. It doesn’t smell of the garden — it smells of the forest. As a soap, an earthy, green, profound lather.
