Created for Queen Victoria, Empress of India. A pink sandstone palace bathed in incense smoke, champaca flowers and golden sandalwood.
Victoria would stay at the Excelsior Regina Palace in Nice, then owned by Oriza. The Maison composed Empire des Indes to evoke “the glorious days of the Maharajas.” This soap translates it beautifully: a lively opening of bergamot and ginger, a heart of powdery heliotrope and honeyed champaca, a base of sandalwood, benzoin and opoponax. A small journey to India, every morning, in the shower.
