The Isle of Beauty possesses an unmistakable scent — that of its maquis, perceptible from the sea, miles from the coast. The opening is that of bitter orange (bigarade). Myrtle brings its herbaceous freshness. Labdanum — the dark, warm resin of the cistus — anchors the composition in Corsican soil. A characterful, sunny, aromatic soap.
