Opoponax (Commiphora guidottii) is a resin harvested in Somalia and Ethiopia, close to myrrh but softer, more honeyed, rounder. Its name comes from the Greek opos (sap) and panax (panacea) — the “sap that heals all.” As a room spray, it envelops the room in a balsamic, resinous warmth — ideal for winter evenings, living rooms and meditation spaces.
