LaFleur d'Oranger

Orange blossom (Citrus aurantium) is one of perfumery’s most precious materials. From the bitter orange tree (bigaradier), three treasures are extracted: neroli, distilled from fresh blossoms; petitgrain, distilled from leaves and twigs; and orange blossom absolute, obtained by solvent extraction — rounder and more honeyed than neroli. In Mediterranean tradition, orange blossom is inseparable from weddings: crowns of orange blossom once adorned the heads of brides as a symbol of virginity and fertility.

This concentrated eau de cologne pays homage to this triple nature. The opening is a luminous duo: orange blossom mingles with jasmine in a white, solar accord. The heart continues the theme with lemon and orange blossom in its fresher, more hesperidic dimension. The base of sweet orange and orange blossom, more honeyed and rounder, extends the trail in an enveloping softness.
