The intoxication of an endless night.
1925. The International Exhibition of Decorative Arts sets Paris ablaze. Women have cut their hair, cast off the corset, discovered the Charleston. In the clubs of Montparnasse, jazz flows like champagne. It was in this creative euphoria that Oriza L. Legrand composed Horizon — a name that says it all: the wide-open future, the vanishing point, the desirable unknown.
The Maison presents it thus: “In the euphoria of the Roaring Twenties, women bare their bodies, abandon the corset, tomboys step out of the shadows… An amber fragrance for boys and tomboys.”
The opening is an Art Deco flash: bitter orange peel and dried rose compose an accord at once vivid and nostalgic. The heart is a Montparnasse club: amber cognac, aromatic tobacco leaves and roasted cocoa intertwine in a heady, gourmand accord of almost tangible richness. The base is the lingering night: ambergris, blond tobacco and supple leather compose a trail of nonchalant elegance.
