Burning papers & scented parchment
Burning papers & scented parchment

Papierparchemin parfumé

A genuine parchment, steeped in the scent of eternal India. A collector’s piece as much as a home fragrance — to burn, to cut, to display or to give — like a precious manuscript from another century.

Price: €50.00

The charm of an oriental parchment.

The Parchemin Papier Indien is the most singular piece in the Oriza L. Legrand home fragrance range. It is a genuine, artisanally crafted parchment, steeped in the Papier Indien fragrance — that oriental accord of sandalwood, spices and resins inspired by the fragrance Empire des Indes, created in 1886 for Queen Victoria.

In the colours of India, this parchment is an object of multiple uses. One can burn it in fine strips — like traditional burning paper — for an instant olfactory voyage to the court of the Empress of India. One can cut it to line drawers and wardrobes, lastingly perfuming clothes and household linen. One can write upon it perfumed letters or poems by candlelight — for parchment, that noblest of materials, calls for writing as much as for contemplation. One can finally display it as is — unrolled on a table or framed on a wall — as a decorative object laden with history and fragrance.

More than a simple home fragrance, the Parchemin Papier Indien is a collector’s piece — a fragment of the French perfumed tradition, faithful to a design registered worldwide by the Maison since 1886.
